About the Classes
So what if you're not artistic and unsure about whether your art work is going to end up looking like a painting of three chicks eating out of a football instead of a bowl of lemons? If you have Sharri Schmidt as your art instructor, you can be assured of leaving the studio with a master piece in your hands that you created by a step-by-step guidance by one of the most experienced artists in town.
Psst! Most often, the image is pre-drawn on the canvas before the class begins so that we can get started to paint right away! The class is geared towards all kinds of level of artsits, so rest assured that nobody is going to judge you by your art work. Creative license is abundant during our painting sessions.
These classes are BYOB (Bring Your Own Brush), all materials are supplied by Sharri. So, BYOB here means " Bring Your Own Buddy". You'll be amazed how much fun you both will have encouraging each other. Relax. There are no mistakes that can not be fixed while painting. All you have to do is bring your favorite drink and snack.
NEW!! We have two type of classes availalbe from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm on Friday and Saturday evenings. It is a traditional Acrylic painting on canvas or a terra cotta bisque piece of pottery. These classes can be completed in one session. We have designs available under our Gallery tab. We encourage participants to e-mail suggestions for subjects to be painted at least one-week prior to the class. We adapt your photo to either a pottery piece or canvas.
